Terms and Conditions

The agreement between you and Nyrami

Last updated 21 September 2026

These are the terms between you and Nyrami. They cover the Nyrami app, nyrami.com and the services that belong to them. You accept them when you create an account, or when you use the app or the website without one.

In short: Nyrami is a support tool for people living with kidney disease, or at risk of it. The app is free. It does not replace healthcare, and must never be used to make a diagnosis or change a treatment on your own. What you record is yours, and you can ask to be deleted at any time.

1. Who you are agreeing with

Nyrami is operated by Avia Technologies AS, company number 931 645 900, Håkkagata 10, 7714 Steinkjer, Norge. "Nyrami", "we" and "us" in these terms mean that company.

You can reach us at support@nyrami.com. We normally reply within 1 to 2 working days.

2. What Nyrami is, and what it is not

Nyrami gathers kidney knowledge in one place: a kidney passport holding your own numbers, measurements and logs you keep yourself, articles and exercises, recipes, and a scanner that reads what is in a grocery product.

Nyrami is not a medical device and not a healthcare service. We do not diagnose, we do not treat, and we do not give individual medical advice. The content is general information, and a tool for understanding your own situation and talking better with the people who treat you.

Numbers and estimates in the app, such as an eGFR estimate calculated from lab values you enter yourself, are calculations, not test results. They can be wrong, for example if a value is entered in the wrong unit. Never change medication, diet, fluid intake or treatment based on the app alone. Talk to your doctor.

In an emergency, call your local emergency number (113 in Norway). Nyrami is not an emergency service and is not monitored by healthcare staff.

3. Your account and your age

Parts of Nyrami require an account. You are responsible for the details you give us, and for keeping your login to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has got into your account.

Nyrami is not made for children under 13, and we do not create accounts for them. If you are between 13 and 18, you need a parent's or guardian's consent before using the service.

One account per person. You cannot transfer your account to somebody else.

4. What you put in

The information you record in Nyrami is yours. We use it to run the service as described in the privacy policy, and we do not sell it.

You decide what to enter. Do not enter health information about other people without their agreement.

You can ask for your account and your data to be deleted at any time: in the app under Profile, at nyrami.com/delete-account, or by writing to us. We delete within 30 days, subject to the exceptions set out in the privacy policy.

5. Nyrami Pro

Nyrami is free. Nyrami Pro is a voluntary subscription: the whole amount goes towards running and developing Nyrami and towards the fight against kidney disease. As a thank-you you get Ask Nyrami, the assistant that answers questions. Everything else in the app is free, with or without Pro.

The subscription is bought and paid for through the App Store or Google Play. The price and the period are shown in the app before you confirm. It renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.

You cancel where you bought it: in your Apple ID settings on iPhone, or under subscriptions in Google Play. We cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf. If you cancel, Pro stays open for the rest of the period you have paid for.

Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own rules. We can help you find the way, but we have no way to refund a purchase made in an app store.

As a consumer in the EEA you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. Because Pro opens immediately on purchase, that right applies only as far as the app store's terms and applicable consumer law provide.

If we change the price of a running subscription, we tell you before the change takes effect, and you can cancel before it applies.

6. Ask Nyrami

Ask Nyrami is a conversational assistant built on a language model. It answers from general knowledge about kidney health and from what you have recorded in the app.

The answers are machine-generated. They can be incomplete or plainly wrong, including when they sound confident. Treat them as a starting point for understanding and for asking better questions, never as medical advice or as a decision about your treatment.

Do not enter other people's health information into the conversation, or anything you would not want the service to process. How conversations are handled is set out in the privacy policy.

7. The pledge on nyrami.com

If you sign the pledge, you agree that your name, and whatever you add as place, connection and comment, may be shown publicly on nyrami.com, provided you ticked the box for exactly that. Your signature counts towards the total either way.

Write about yourself. Do not write anything that exposes other people, and do not share anyone else's health information.

We read comments before they are published, and we may remove or shorten a contribution that is abusive, unlawful, commercial or otherwise out of place. You can ask us to remove your signature at any time.

By signing you give us the right to show your contribution on nyrami.com and in coverage of the pledge. You keep the rights to what you wrote.

8. How you may not use Nyrami

You must not:

  • use the service for anything unlawful, or to harm, threaten or harass others
  • try to break into the service, get around security, or reach other people's data
  • extract content systematically with bots, scrapers or similar without a written agreement with us
  • decompile, modify or rebuild the app, unless the law expressly gives you that right
  • present yourself as healthcare staff, or as Nyrami
  • upload harmful code, or load the service in a way that affects other users

9. Rights in the content

The app, the website, the text, the photographs, the exercises, the recipes, the code and the Nyrami name belong to us or our licensors, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law.

You get a personal, non-exclusive right to use Nyrami for your own purposes for as long as the agreement lasts. You may not resell, rent out or publish our content as your own.

You are welcome to share articles and links from nyrami.com on social media and elsewhere, with Nyrami credited as the source.

10. Availability and changes to the service

We do our best to keep Nyrami available and working, but we cannot promise faultless or uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, updates and matters at our suppliers can cause interruptions.

We keep developing the service, and may change, add or remove features. If we remove something substantial that you pay for through Pro, we tell you in advance.

Nyrami depends on your device, your operating system and the internet. Content from third parties (grocery product data, for instance) may contain errors outside our control.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Nyrami whenever you like, and delete your account whenever you like.

We may close or limit an account that breaches these terms, or that is used for something unlawful. Where it is practical we tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. For serious breaches we may close immediately.

If we close your account without you having done anything wrong, we refund the unused part of a paid subscription.

12. Liability

Nyrami is provided as it is. We do not promise that the content fits your particular situation, or that an estimate in the app matches what your doctor measures.

We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, lost data or consequential damage. For direct loss our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the last twelve months, or NOK 1,000 if you have paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, for example gross negligence or intent, personal injury, or rights you hold as a consumer under mandatory Norwegian law.

13. Complaints, governing law and disputes

If something is wrong, write to support@nyrami.com first. Most things are settled there.

Norwegian law governs this agreement. If you are a consumer, you do not lose the protection of mandatory rules in the country where you live.

If we cannot agree, a consumer may complain to the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet), or use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform. The venue otherwise is Trøndelag District Court.

14. Apple and Google

This agreement is between you and us, not between you and Apple or Google. They are not responsible for the app, its content, or customer support.

If you download the app from the App Store or Google Play, the store's own terms for purchase, subscription and refund apply in addition.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for instance when the service changes or the rules do. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was updated.

For changes of substance we tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Nyrami after that, the new terms apply. If you disagree, you can stop using the service and delete your account.
